Both types of televisions are flat and thin, but they use different technology types in an attempt to provide the same results.

The technology of Plasma TV is loosely based on a fluorescent tube. The display itself consists of cells. Between the individual cell, injected a bit of space between the two panes of glass in the neon-xenon gas and then sealed in plasma form during the manufacturing process. The gas is then electrically charged at specific intervals when the Plasma TV is finally in use. The gas that is responsible, and strikes the phosphors of red, blue and green, the creation of a television picture, finally. Any other group of phosphors of red, blue and green is called a pixel, or picture element. Although plasma technology eliminates the need for the huge picture tube and electron beam scanning of regular TV, however, remains, as it uses the combustion of phosphorus, to produce a picture that plasma TVs are still suffering greatly under a number of disadvantages of conventional TVsuch as heat generation and screen-burn of static images.
